Hiya hiya! So basically we have started our courseware using SmartBuilder. the topic we have chosen is adjective on shape, colour and on Fruits for standard 3 students. We might be a bit behind the schedule but at least when we get the clear gist of the courseware, it will be fine. Afterwards, we delegate the task on the lesson and activities. Basically on the design is totally we get it done when we were in the lab and the further task is only be done at home. As for the lesson, we discovered that it would be dull if we do not insert any moving pictures or video and then we tried to search on a video that is suitable for our theme. Food in the Supermarket. Z found a very catchy video  on the youtube and we agreed on it. The template provided by the software makes our task easier as a bit of addition in making the page is lively and fun is needed such as pictures and hotspot. Now we have hit the ver last part on Internet Technology subject, I shall say it is a huge relieve but having time learning with Madam Azidatun is such a pleasure. Thank you for assigning the quiz by end of the semester too hehehe. To be honest, I'm not a tech-savvy but my curiosity is at its best so it is fun and interesting for gaining knowledge learning this course. I have better preview on CALL topic, how to create a courseware using SmartBuilder, podcast and Powtoon. Most of the tasks given were homework so I was also struggling with time management this semester, glad I made it! Wohoo! Here we are again with another lesson on SmartBuilder. Today we learned on how to insert audio and create hotspot in the courseware. it might be difficult to get used to it for the first time but after a few attempt I happen to make it succeed. As for the failure is because of lousy command set on the property. As I always expected, glitch might be happening and need time to be discovered. For instance, when doing hotspot, I forgot to click on the false setting, so the object does become as it should. So in using this courseware, indeed to be precise in every detail to make it works well. Oh we as a team, same like the Powtoon group members have decided to choose "Fruits" as topic for our courseware on adjectives. We are needed to come out with a storyboard for our courseware to act as a guideline to keep us in track in designing the courseware later. Laters! ❤

This is the best part of this subject because things are getting rough as this software needed us to get used to it and we have to create a software of our own later. I discover this software is quite challenging because of variety settings insides. in order to make it run well, we need to make sure the command is right and in correct order so the things go according to sequence. I get it quite hard to follow the steps because sitting way back at the classroom prohibit me to keep an eye on the very tiny cursor pointed to. However, this software can be very useful and it is a pleasure to get revealed with it. the software can be quite easy with nice UI and good memorisation during lesson, I guess it is enough. We learned on how to link from one page to another, add pictures, do background, use roll-over button another simple stuff. Godspeed, apple seed! ❤

Hiya! Upon the first class, we learned on how to create poster using Canva. What is Canva? Canva is basically an online website that allows you to create posters using templates that has been pre-designed. We may use existing template or may create it on our own. I think Canva can be very helpful to someone who needs a last minute project or half-way design to do a poster. I am excited for Canva since I never heard of it before and Madam wanted us to make a simple infographic poster and tadaa!

Halla! Since it is an online apps so poor internet connection would be a bug in finishing this assignment. Ugh! 😩 We have started with recording the audio as we need to properly match it with the playing video. It might takes a several attempt and some of the audio need to be redo. At first we only use phone but then discover with an addition of EarPods makes the sound is clearer with less interference. Yeah! Thanks to Z too for being convenient in helping out encountering the glitch.  We dislike sleepover and over-time work because we also have things to be done and some of us commute quite far from home, we cannot afford till late night gather so when we get the chance to get it done, for instance during class gap. The last touch is when it needs a bit of adjustment, the font and the picture pops out. Thanks to everyone's patience and time in getting the Powtoon done. Bye-bye, apple pie! ❤

I ever heard of podcast but never really knew what does it means. Well then, this class taught me that basically podcast is an audio or video file (mp3, mp4 etc) that is published or "broadcast" on the internet. The funny thing is I know what it is as I get engaged with the internet but the term itself I seldom used. During the lecture, I discover that it is used to promote self-study and independent learning which made it compatible material to be used with CALL.  So let's move to the advantage of using podcast. As a degree student, I would recommend using podcast for study because it is accessible as long as you have had good internet connection. Whenever and wherever you are, you still can gain knowledge and information. In addition, you possibly get extra information from what you have gotten in the class lecture, if and only if you make the effort to rely on super easy way in finding info.  Other than that, I think podcast can also be helpful for note taking. We are required to create and educational video on any topic using Powtoon. My last time using Powtoon was during semester 2 so it shall not be a big problem to look around for try and error. Good lord, Powtoon offers you storyboard and templates and how life has become so smooth for us! My group consists of Z, Sya and me myself. We decided to go with animals with its offsprings. Sounds cheesy but not all are well known of animal offspring names, so there you go. Will update you more on the next entry upon the assignment.  Greater things await you! ❤

Hello there! So this entry I would like to touch about evolution of CALL, the search engine and online database. Firstly, it can be divided into three which is behaviouristic, communicative and integrated CALL. The  criticism  that integrated CALL receives are the quality of the authentic material varies between creators since different people have different styles and ideas. Therefore the content of the lesson or software used might vary from one educator to another. Other than that, the software that is used for integrated CALL is not tailor-made for ESL which causes the instructor to improvise their style or the content of the lesson.
